By focusing on how students and teachers make meaning across the curriculum, 3L promotes an integrated, whole-school approach that allows all teachers to become effective teachers of literacy.
Formerly known as Literacy for Learning (LfL), which has been shown to achieve significant improvement in students’ writing across all learning and literacy areas, 3L’s content reflects the latest developments in theory and practice.

TYCEMC: TEACHING YOUNG CHILDREN IN MULTILINGUAL CONTEXTS
Young children (aged 5–8) beginning schooling are embarking on their developmental pathway of learning to use language in schooling contexts, such as reading and writing. This makes them more reliant on spoken language and a range of other meaning-making resources such as visuals (both static and animated) and sound (music and sound effects).
Teaching young children in English in multilingual contexts is a rigorous professional development course for all teachers working with young students between 5 and 8 years of age.
The course entails 18 hours face-to-face learning in 7 modules which, when combined with between module readings and activities, is equivalent to more than 40 hours professional development for teachers. Further TYCEMC information.

Lexis Education Testimonials
I have known Lynette professionally for a number of years. Through her work as a teacher and a consultant, she has shown that she is an outstanding educator who continues to make an important contribution through her consultancy work, in particular, as a tutor trainer for all Lexis Education courses.
I first met her as an attendee at the HLW tutor training course in July 2006, where I was immediately struck by her energy and enthusiasm, her capacity to absorb the challenges of the course itself and the willingness to take on the role of tutor back in her school setting.
It has been in more recent years, through her work as a tutor trainer for Lexis that I have really come to appreciate her many exceptional qualities. Her great warmth, generosity, openness and willingness to listen allow her to quickly establish excellent working relationships with others. Her ability to value what every teacher brings to the learning context and at the same time challenge them is a special skill and one that is constantly reflected in the extremely positive feedback from teachers attending her sessions.
Her thirst for knowledge, her intellectual curiosity, coupled with her willingness to seek answers mean that she has a rich understanding of explicit pedagogical approaches that account for the role of the of language in teaching and learning. This, along with her understanding of how to implement such approaches in a range of educational contexts mark her as an exceptional leader in education.
